Materials & Jewelry Care

What materials do you use?

Our pieces are made with a variety of materials, including stainless steel, 18K PVD gold plating, rhodium plating, sterling silver, gold-plated brass, cubic zirconia, gemstones, and glass details. Materials vary by design, so check each product page for details about a specific piece.

What jewelry doesn’t tarnish easily?

Stainless steel with 18K PVD gold plating is highly resistant to tarnishing and a great choice for everyday wear. No jewelry finish is completely maintenance-free, so proper care will help your pieces look their best for longer.

Is Selva jewelry hypoallergenic?

Many of our stainless steel pieces are made with hypoallergenic materials and may be suitable for sensitive skin. Since materials vary by design, please check the product description before purchasing.

Is Selva jewelry waterproof?

Not every Selva piece is waterproof. Many of our stainless steel and PVD-plated styles are water resistant, while more delicate pieces need extra care. Check the product page for the materials and care recommendations for your piece.

Can I shower with my jewelry?

Many Selva stainless steel and PVD-plated pieces are water resistant. Even so, we recommend removing your jewelry before daily showers whenever possible to help preserve its finish.

Can I wear Selva jewelry every day?

Yes! Many of our pieces are designed for everyday wear. Stainless steel and PVD-plated styles are especially good options. To help them last, avoid harsh chemicals, chlorine, and excessive rubbing.

Why does jewelry turn green or leave a green mark on my skin?

This can happen when certain metals, especially copper-based ones, react with moisture, sweat, skincare products, or your skin’s natural pH. Stainless steel pieces are generally less likely to cause this reaction.

How should I clean my jewelry?

Wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth after wearing it. If a piece needs a deeper clean, follow the care instructions on its product page. For suitable water-resistant pieces, you can use mild soap and water, then dry them completely.

How should I store my jewelry?

Keep your pieces dry and store them separately when possible. This helps prevent scratching, tangling, and unnecessary friction.

Should I remove my jewelry before swimming?

Yes. We recommend removing your jewelry before swimming in a pool or the ocean. Chlorine and salt water can affect plated finishes over time.

Can perfume or lotion damage jewelry?

Perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and other beauty products can gradually affect a piece’s finish. Apply them first, let them dry, and put your jewelry on afterward.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and other secure payment options shown at checkout.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Payments are processed through secure, encrypted payment providers.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

We currently ship throughout the United States.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days. Delivery time depends on your location.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Free shipping is available on qualifying orders over $50.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

You have 25 days after receiving your order to request a return for an eligible item. Jewelry must be unworn and unused, with no visible signs of wear or scents such as perfume. Please include the tags, original packaging, and your receipt or proof of purchase.

Personalized jewelry, final sale items, sale items, and gift cards cannot be returned.

How do I start a return?

Email hello@selvaaccessories.com before sending anything back. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label and instructions. Returns sent without a prior request cannot be accepted.

Do you offer exchanges?

We don’t offer direct exchanges. If your item is eligible, request a return and place a separate order for the piece you’d like.

When will I receive my refund?

We’ll let you know once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card provider may need additional time to post it.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved, email us at hello@selvaaccessories.com.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us immediately at hello@selvaaccessories.com if an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect. We’ll review the issue and help make it right.

Our pieces begin with designs created by our team. We work with manufacturing partners who bring them to life using selected materials and finishes. Materials and care instructions are listed on each product page.

Why do some items appear in the Sale section?

Our Sale section includes discontinued designs, last units from past collections, and some pieces that don’t meet our current quality standards but are still wearable. We share the relevant details so you can decide whether a piece is right for you. Sale items are final sale.

Are your collections limited?

Many of our collections are released in limited quantities.

Will sold-out pieces come back?

Some best sellers may return, but many styles are produced only once.

Gifts

Does Selva jewelry make a good gift?

Of course! We have pieces for birthdays, celebrations, friendships, and everyday moments, including jewelry with symbolic meanings.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes. Our digital gift cards are available in amounts from $25 to $100 and are delivered by email. They never expire and have no additional fees.

Can I include a gift message?

Yes! You can add a personalized message before completing your purchase, and we’ll include it on a complimentary postcard.

Can I send a gift directly to someone else?

Yes. Enter the recipient’s shipping address at checkout and add a gift message if you’d like. We’ll take care of the rest.
